Bekomero community is a village of over 600 people. It is located in the southern part of the Lira district in the northern region of Uganda. This village has numerous challenges and water related issues are the biggest. The community has two primary schools which depend on a dirty spring water for consumption. The community school has reported high numbers of health challenges, most due to poor hygiene contributed by lack of clean safe water within the schools and the community .
