In February of 2022 WHOlives staff visited the beautiful community of Wakinoni, Uganda.  We met with local leaders who had invited us to meet their children and see the struggles they faced because they lacked clean water. We travelled to their current water source and were dismayed to see someone cleaning a motorcycle in one end of a pond while at the same time a young man was pulling water out of the same pond to take home to his family.

After explaining the community funded loan program to community leaders they became very excited as they realized they could have clean water right in their village.

WHOlives reached out to our drilling partner SUUBI Community projects and asked them to drill a well for this community using the Village Drill.

We are happy to announce they were successful and the community are now enjoying clean water for the very first time.
