As described by group director Roy Otieno, TINADA has outstanding experience in working with and supporting young people, young single mothers, and young people with disabilities. TINADA is responsive to community needs and aspirations and is part of several partnerships and networks that seek to build on the delivery of our Vision and Mission.
TINADA group has identified water problems in their community. They want to pull efforts together to help fight the water problem. They want to end the long-distance walk to fetch dirty, contaminated water. They are also aware of the time wasted by the youth walking long distances and the dangers involved. It is anticipated that about 100 families would benefit from this borehole.
This water well will help the community to access clean water close by, bridging the long distances traveled to fetch dirty water and at times missing a drop. Especially during dry seasons when seasonal streams run dry.
