Kayanja village is found in Namagunga subcounty Mukono District. It is a sub – urban community since it’s not very remotely located. However, it is also underserved when it comes to safe water coverage. People still have to use water from surface ponds or walk long distances to buy water from neighboring trading centers. The village has a population of approximately 900 people from about 80 households. The local leaders of Kayanja village visited our drilling team and requested to have a community funded well constructed in their village. They were given the necessary information about the program. Two months later, they have been able to raise the needed down payment and work is set to start.
