Namwoya Village is located in Nagalama Town council in Mukono District. This semi urban village has a very big population of more than 400 households and about 3 schools.
There are 2 boreholes in this community. One was constructed by Suubi at one of the schools while the other was constructed by the government. Unfortunately these boreholes can’t serve the entire big village. Some households are about 3km away from these boreholes. Because of the huge demand and over use, they are always broken down.
A section of the village called Bandali Ward, with about 150 households, wrote to Suubi requesting for a well to help them. The suubi team was able to train the community about the Community Funded Well Program and they welcomed it and showed commitment to participate.
Together with ABC drillers, an appropriate site was chosen for a borehole to be drilled using the Village Drill.
