Perfect conditions for crops in Sibale, Kenya, when there’s enough water

Sibale is a vibrant village in Busia county, Kenya.  It has a diverse landscape and a high potential for agriculture.  Access to clean water is a challenge in this community. Children, women and other adults travel close over to 2 kilometers to collect water.

A drilled borehole would help over 200 residents access clean water closer to home. Long distances of traveling to water and huge medical bills for treating water born disease would be solved with a borehole in the neighborhood. The potential for high crop yields would also increase with access to local water.  School going children will have time to focus on school and productive activities. Women will be relieved of the load of carrying a 20 liter jerrican off their heads. Health and economic productivity will improve.

All that's missing is clean water
