The Otwal Village community is a local village of over 200 households. Located in the district of Oyam, the village suffered much during the rebel war whicth claimed hundreds of lives in the community. Property was destroyed, including the water source, which was a single borehole drilled by the gorverment, leaving the communty to turn to the stream water for domestic consumptions.
Currently 90% of the household are suffering with stomach related sickness. Two children and an adult is reported deceased. Their main source of income is farming and food production.
