Mentoring / Entrepreneur Sewing Project

Jacqueline runs a small sewing business near Vihiga, Kenya called Hope Tailoring. She has spent 6 years building a clientele making good quality uniforms and dresses for people in her community. After going through the entrepreneur training classes sponsored by WHOlives Jacqueline learned valuable skills which she believes will help her to grow her business. She has submitted a business plan and budget to expand her business by purchasing a new electric sewing machine and additional fabrics.

Partnering with a local Savings and Loan Cooperative, WHOlives will provide funds for a low interest loan to Jacqueline which will allow her to increase her income and provide for her family.  She has also been paired with a mentor who runs a small textile mill to help her learn new skills in both sewing and marketing.

When you support the WHOlives Mentoring and Entrepreneurial Training program you give people like Jacqueline a chance to become self reliant.
