A 4K Walk for Dirty Water in Mchinjirini, Kenya

Mchinjirini Village is located South of Kwale county, in the coastal area of Kenya. With a population of about 1,500 people, most villagers are farmers that plant cash crops and  livestock farming. Water is a problem and most villagers depend on rain catchment or water from the stream. The area is dry and barren so the people walk nearly 4km for water (about 2.5 miles) which takes an hour.  There are a few hand dug wells so the Village Drill teams believe they will have success in this area.  The villagers will be able to turn their barren land into an oasis with the new borehole.
