INUA Global Achievers School is a very special place. Located in Vihiga County in Western Kenya the school is run by an amazing family working tirelessly to bring economic empowerment to their area. The school has about 70 students whose parents or grandparents are unable to pay the school fees because of extreme poverty.
WHOlives is working with Zach Ongonji, the founder of the school, to build industry and employment opportunities in the area around the school. So far we have helped build a chicken business, made investments in a farm and also expanded their sewing center. All of these investments are starting to pay dividends but we still need your help.
It takes time to build employment opportunities for the unemployed but in the meantime, the students are suffering without access to school fees, or even food for the day.
Can you help? It takes just $20 per month to sponsor a child. The school fee includes tuition, porridge for breakfast and a hot lunch.
We are looking for 70 people to pledge $20 per month for 1 year. During that time we will continue to work in the area providing access to clean water, improved health and economic opportunity. By the end of 1 year, our plan is to find steady employment for the families surrounding the school so that they can afford to pay the school fees and other needed expenses on their own. We want to solve this problem by offering opportunity instead of dependency and hope instead of entitlement.
Please donate today and help us lift the beautiful children of INUA Global Achievers School.
