Help Reid and Jessica Anderson send a Village Drill to Kenya

Since 2005 we have spent over 30 months among the people of the countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania – completing dozens of projects ranging from libraries, teaching in and building classrooms, poultry farms, and orphanage support. This fall, our family, along with a group of individuals, including young adults, will be returning and have partnered with WHOlives.org to bring clean water to communities using the Village Drill.

Purchasing the Village Drill will allow us to drill dozens of boreholes, in dozens of areas, for the same cost of just a couple traditional borehole projects. Our first two digs will begin this fall in areas near Naivasha, Kenya.

We are raising funds to purchase the drill, accompanying equipment, and transportation costs to get the drill  functioning in East Africa — bringing clean water to literally thousands of individuals and families.

Because of contaminated water, many children and adults are exposed to parasites and experience a wide range of illnesses.  Girls and women spend hours walking miles to collect water each day.  When communities have clean water, people experience better sanitation and hygiene, herds and farms prosper, and there is more time to attend school and provide for their families.  Clean water helps people and communities thrive, which in turn brings them one step closer to healthier living and eradicating poverty.
