The Miss Utah Organization is raising funds to provide wells for 3 schools in Kenya and Uganda. These beautiful children in this area must walk 4 kilometers (2 1/2 miles) each way to fetch water from a contaminated stream. WHOlives visited this area in February 2021 and met with community leaders where we learned of their struggle for clean water. We performed a site survey and found a good location for wells nearby. Having clean water close by will allow these children to spend more time in school and will also allow them to play with their friends instead of making the daily, long walk for water.
The reigning Miss Utah, Dexonna Talbot travelled with WHOlives on an impact mission to Uganda in 2019 and saw first hand the tremendous need for clean water. WHOlives would like to thank her and the Miss Utah Organization for their tireless support of worthy causes, especially those causes that help young women reach their full potential.
A generous donor has agree to match all donations up to $5,000. This means that even the smallest donation will have double the impact.
Please join WHOlives and the Miss Utah Organization in supporting this remote village in their quest for clean water.
