Lilian runs a chicken brooding and vegetable farm in Kenya. She purchases day old chicks and then broods them for 3-4 weeks before selling them to local poultry farmers. Due to the increased number of chicken farms in the areas she has not been able to keep up with demand. She attended the WHOlives Entrepreneur training program and, working with her mentor, learned how to expand her operation. She applied for a low interest loan through the program and made improvements to her facility and is purchasing 500 additional chicks. This expansion will allow her to increase her monthly sales and grow her business while helping her community.
