Farmers use hand dug wells that dry up in Mwabungo, Kenya

Mwabungo Village is on the coast of Kenya in Kwale County. With a population of nearly 700 people, most villagers are farmers and do agricultural work for cash crops and animal farming. Water is the main challenge in the area. Hand-dug wells dry up during the dry season. Other than the hand-dug well, the majority get their water from a dam and share the same source with livestock, so water-related illness is common.

Boreholes will be a safer water source and the community will save money on medical bills and other costs associated with dirty water. Children miss school due to water challenges in the area and they hope to enjoy clean water’s blessings someday.

All of us appreciate the support and funding of this project. Blessings to you!
