Team up with Bwayegamba, Uganda on a Community Funded Well Project

SUUBI Community Projects is a Ugandan based non profit drilling team that recently purchased a Village Drill.  This new drill team is off to a fantastic start finishing 12 boreholes in just the last 5 months.   When WHOlives learned that the director of SUUBI’s home village did not have access to clean water we knew we needed to help.

We sent team members to the village to explain our community funded well program.  The villagers learned that by working together, they could purchase their own well with the help of a small grant and an interest free loan from WHOlives.  Excitement spread through the community as people learned that clean water would soon be coming to their village.

Our community funded well program is a revolutionary approach in the non profit world.  Rather than dig wells and give them away for free we work with the local communities and have them purchase their own wells for a very affordable cost.  This approach is having a huge impact.  Not only does this allow us to serve more people in need, it also helps to create of pride of ownership, reduces jealousy from neighboring villages, and encourages self reliance instead of dependency.

Please join us in helping Bwayegamba, Uganda realize their dream of clean water.
